Chinese smartphone manufacturer ZTE has launched three new Android KitKat smartphones in China at an event that took place in Beijing — the ZTE nubia Z7, nubia Z7 Max and nubia Z7 mini. All new smartphones feature dual SIM support with dual standby, run Android 4.4 KitKat OS skinned with the nubia UI 2.0, and will be available to pre-order ‘very soon’. It will also be available through Chinese operators, China Unicom and China Telecom.
The ZTE nubia Z7 sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD CGS (Continuous Grain Silicon) IPS display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution at 538ppi. It is the company’s first handset with quad HD display. The Nubia Z7 comes with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support. This 4G LTE capable smartphone is priced at 3456 Chinese Yuan (Rs. 33,290 approx).
The ZTE nubia Z7 Max sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It will be available in two color variants, black and white. The smartphone is priced at 1999 Chinese Yuan (Rs. 19,250 approx).
The ZTE nubia Z7 mini features a 5-inch Full HD IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The smartphone will be available in four color variants, lime green, primrose yellow, pink and bright moon white. It is priced at 1499 Chinese Yuan (Rs. 14,440 approx.).
The ZTE nubia Z7 and nubia Z7 Max both use a 2.5 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AC) processor and 32GB internal storage, while the nubia Z7 mini has a 2 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AA) processor and 16GB internal storage.
All three phones—the ZTE nubia Z7, nubia Z7 Max and nubia Z7 mini—feature Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM, 3000 mAh battery, 5MP front-facing camera, 13MP autofocus rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED Flash and support TD-LTE and FDD-LTE connectivity options. The devices also have Neo Vision 4.0 Camera UI and new features.
The connectivity options include 4G LTE/ 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/aGPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio.
